The Beauty of the Game – Football

I love football so much. By this i mean soccer not american football. In my hometown and country, people love soccer too. Many want to have more affiliation to particular clubs that are mostly in Europe and with less interest to the local football clubs. Well, i don’t blame them. European football is so entertaining, has a collection of the world’s greatest players, is covered more by the media and is nice.

An indisputable fact about this sport is that most of the support is based on what i will term as a “bandwagon effect”. Because these clubs have been so successful in the past, possess alot of money and have a large proportion of the public supporting them, they end up following the crowd and not appreciating the beauty of the game but rather accumulation of points and winning at any cost with a little exception of Barcelona if you are a good follower of football.

Football is a great game, and it should be loved for the beauty and not the Money. I love football, and to show that i appreciate the beauty, i Love watching West Ham United Football Club. And Barcelona of course.
